Game Fuel: Citrus Blackberry

Tastes somewhat like watered-down Voltage. I like it, but it's not overwhelming. I think it could be MORE blackberry honestly. It's sweet, and tangy, but even though it's called "citrus blackberry" the flavor is actually "blackberry raspberry." There's not actually any citrus.

Tastes a lot like watermelon chewing gum to me. Very sweet, not as tangy as most Dews. It’s alright, but not something I would buy in a large quantity.
Infinite Swirl

Beautiful color! It tastes very nice. It’s not as oppressively pineapple as Baja Gold was. It’s done much more delicately. It’s like Baja Blast, but in a slightly different flavor direction.
Liberty Chill

Without knowing what it was supposed to taste like, it was a surprise for me that it tasted like a very specific type of gummy candy. I spent like, an entire several minutes trying to place it. A little bit like Lifesavers. A berry flavor, with other undertones. It feels like it has a “gelatin” flavor to it. The most drinkable of the three July 4th flavors of this year.
Freedom Fusion

It’s very peachy. Intrigued at the leap into the stone fruits! I liked it more than their plum flavorings. Still tangy, barely a lemonade, but I would say this flavor was pretty accurate to what I expected.
Star-Spangled Splash

Tastes red. That’s the best way I can describe it. Very sweet, and I’m not sure what “red berry” it’s supposed to be, but boy howdy is it red. There’s no tang, it’s not citric, it’s just red.
Baja Laguna Lemonade

Smells a lot like mangoes. Does not taste as strong as it smells. I think I liked it quite a bit, but not as much as Point Break Punch. Heavy tang to it.
Baja Point Break Punch

Tastes nice! It’s just your standard fruit punch. It’s generic, but it hits the spot.
Dark Berry Bash

Honestly not too bad. It’s an Applebee’s exclusive and I never go to Applebees so it was hard to get my hands on, but it’s just a pretty standard berry flavor. A nice light tang to it, so it’s worth buying if you’re there.
Game Fuel Citrus Cherry

So tasty. It’s really good. I wish it wasn't a limited edition… I only have one can left and I’m saving it for some undecided special occasion. I’m a big fan of citrus and a big fan of cherry, so this really fits the bill for me.

I liked it! It was a little strange, but I think they really managed to get the sorta dusty texture of an Airhead. Definitely the cherry Airhead. Also kinda funny that the color of VooDew is the same as the color of the mystery Airheads.
Baja Passionfruit Punch

I hate passionfruit. I really hate it. Tasted vaguely of grape, but also was just kinda gross. Probably the worst Mountain Dew flavor I’ve ever had.
Baja Caribbean Splash

Underwhelming. Not the best, not the worst. Tasted mostly like watered-down fruit punch. Also kinda tasted “wet.” If that makes sense.
Summer Freeze

Vaguely blue raspberry and cherry, tastes mostly like the white part of a bomb pop. Cherry stood out a lot. Not bad at all! I did attempt to make popsicles with this but it went rather badly because I did not let it go flat first.
Pitch Black

This one tastes quite nice. It had a revival period, which is why I was able to try it again after it being gone for so long. Heavy grape soda, very deep purple color to it.
Fruit Quake

Interesting choice to make a soda that’s supposed to taste like a fruitcake. Cinnamon, nutmeg, spices, etc. Left absolutely no aftertaste, which was odd, but not unwelcome. Mediocre at best.

The Sour Patch flavor!! It was absolutely delicious. I love sour candy and the flavor was perfectly translated into Dew form.
FrankenDew

Okay, this isn’t an official flavor, but… in August of 2022 my friends and I had a Dew Tasting in which we tasted 13 different flavors of Dew and ranked them as a group. Obviously at the end we mixed them in equal proportion and tried the resulting brew and… it was GOOD. Like, way better than a lot of the flavors that went into it!! A lot of work to recreate, if I wanted to try, but it’s worth commemorating here.

Underwhelming. “Cool melon” isn’t really a flavor, so it just tasted like a weak honeydew to me.
Overdrive

A similar case to Mango Gem in which the flavor just didn’t really meet my standards of taste. It was weird and not really tangy enough!
Baja Mango Gem

Don’t get me wrong, I really like mango, but this just didn’t cut it for me. It felt almost sickly sweet, and it tasted warm even though it was cold when I tried it.

From what I remember, this wasn’t very good. It was just too much artificial pineapple for me. Hey, what’s up with all of the Baja variations, anyway?
White Out

This one is really good! It was just a really nice citrus taste. I had it when I was younger, and then found it again in 2022. It got really regional for a while, and I think it finally bit the dust a year or so ago. Another delicious flavor lost to the ages.
Purple Thunder

Ehhh. Berry plum isn’t my thing. It tasted kinda weak, and I don’t really like the way they executed the plum. Surprising to me that this one is still around in gas stations when some of their other flavors were much more popular.
Flamin' Hot

To be SO honest. I liked this flavor a LOT. I always have to tell people that it’s NOT cheesy. It does NOT taste like a Cheeto. It’s a cherry-lime punch flavor with a kick to it! The more carbonated it is, the more spice you’re going to feel. The first few sips made me cough because the bubbles were carrying the capsaicin right onto the back of my throat. It’s such a unique flavor and I wish they would bring it back!

Another absolute banger from Mountain Dew. It’s definitely one of my go-to flavors. The raspberry lemonade is really nice and tangy and it’s a bright flavor, which I think cuts the sweetness of the drink a little bit(yes, I know that sounds ridiculous.) God forbid they ever discontinue this one.

Being so honest with you, I forgot what this one tastes like. It’s only on here because I know I’ve tried it, but I didn’t write down anything about how much I liked it. I probably did, but I can only remember a vague idea of where I even got it.

I like it quite a bit! It’s very very sweet and will stain pretty much anything it touches, but it’s quite nice. I would pick this over regular Dew.

Mmmmmmmm this flavor is so good. Absolutely one of the best produced. It’s also one of my brother’s favorite flavors!
Live Wire

I am a sucker for all things orange flavored. I love orange. This isn’t one of the most popular flavors out there, but I like it a lot!
Mountain Dew (Regular)

A classic! A little underwhelming compared to some of the other flavors, but always reliable. Who even knows the first time I tried the original Mountain Dew.
Baja Blast

It’s good, don’t get me wrong, but I think Baja Blast is overrated. It’s also not worth it to go to Taco Bell just for the Baja Blast. Buy it in a can if that’s the only thing you want. The syrup ratio at the store will never be right. It’s refreshing when it tastes right, but if I had other flavors to choose from, I’d probably be picking them.
Sangrita Blast

I remember very little about this flavor, but I KNOW I’ve had it. A flavor of yore, lost to the sands of time. It was also a Taco Bell exclusive, but the people only want to obsess over Baja Blast. Where is the love for her brethren, Sangrita Blast? I remember it being really good.
