Welcome to my digital china cabinet!
Here I have documented all of the teacups in my collection. I own all of these cups!!! It took me a long time to make all these images.
Click on any of my cups to see a bit more information about them!
Company: Rosina Bone China
Material: Bone China
Made in: England
Year: 1952+ based on backstamp
Unclear exactly what this pattern is. Despite having a clear and seemingly legitimate backstamp, I can't find record of this pattern nor any pictures of it online, not even being sold somewhere.
Company: Rosina Bone China
Material: Bone China
Made in: England
Year: 1950s
Pattern Name: 4899 'Blue Cornflowers'
Also came in pink. I've always thought these were thistle for some reason. Sports the 1948 backstamp.
Company: Shelley
Material: Bone China
Made in: England
Year: 1950s
Pattern Name: Woodland 13348
Cup Shape: New Cambridge
Probably my second most expensive cup. Wasn't as expensive when I got it but it goes for about 60-90 dollars now. This teacup started my collection.
Company: Royal Albert
Material: Bone China
Made in: England
Year: 1970-1983
Pattern Name: Sylvia
Cup Shape: Gainsborough
Part of a line called "Black Chintz Floral."
Company: Unknown
Material: Ceramic
Year: Very modern
Pattern Name: Fish.
This is a cheap and somewhat low-quality cup from Amazon or something. It comes from a matching set of six but I bought it at Goodwill for like two dollars because it made me giggle and came with a spoon.
Company: Salisbury
Material: Bone China
Made in: England
Year: 1950s
Pattern Name: 1928
Has a matching salad plate that I do not have. This pattern has been done by several different companies with slight variations but I like this one because it has a green trim, which I don't see on cups very often.
Company: Del-Mar Japan
Made in: Japan
This cup worries me because of how much paint is on the inside of the cup. Gonna buy a lead test kit soon. There isn't a lot of information about this pattern but it's quite a popular motif. Del-Mar china was distributed by several different companies over the years.
Company: Minton
Material: Bone China
Made in: England
Year: 1993
Pattern Name: S 782 "Haddon Hall Blue"
This pattern was printed on several types of dishes, cups, and bowls. Seems to have been made for the company's bicentennial.
Company: Royal Classic
Material: Bone China
Made in: China
Year: Presumably very modern
Came with a matching spoon. Based on my research this cup is pretty cheap and the closest match I can find based on the handle shape is one on Alibaba. I didn't buy this cup myself but frankly the monetary value isn't that important to me when it comes to collecting. It's probably an imitation of an Aynsley cup.
The saucer is pretty boring so this is actually a shot of the inside of the cup! :]
Company: Elizabethan
Material: Bone China
Made in: England
Year: 1982-1988
Pattern Name: Sovereign
Cup Shape: Elizabethan
This pattern came in many colors! Mine is purple but they also sold red, blue, orange, and green, all with gold designs.
Company: Spode Copeland
Material: Ceramic
Made in: England
Year:Likely 1910s
Pattern Name: India Tree
Probably one of my favorite cups I have. I adore the shape. Spode has a lot of backmarks and this cup has two- one printed and one stamped into the ceramic.
Company: Avon
Material: Porcelain
Made in: England
Year:1991
Pattern Name: Gladiola
Avon's "Blossom of the Month" cup for August. Truthfully I find white cups with pink flowers kinda boring but this one was cute. My favorite cup from the series is the March cup (lily of the valley) but I've never seen it in stores.
Company: LM Royal Halsey
Material: Bone China
Made in: Japan
Year:1940s
Pattern Name: Victorian
This guy has feet!! Came in a couple other colors too. Hand-painted.
Company: RW Bavaria
Material: Porcelain
Made in: Germany
Year:1960s
Pattern Name: 8427 #43
Also came in a silly thin-and-tall design. This company made a lot of black cups with gold filigree. Not super common in teacups! Probably my most expensive cup in terms of online market value.
My mystery piece.
I can find a lot of lookalikes but nothing exactly like this online. There are no backstamps so I have no companies to start from. Made of lusterware. I should probably get a lead test for this one too.
